WORKING ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY

All employees—full-time, part-time, contract, and co-op—are entitled to the public holiday off with pay. During peak season (January–June), some staff may choose to work statutory holidays.

Holiday Work Options:

  • CPA-designated staff/ CPA candidates:
    • May work Family Day or Good Friday (full day).
    • Receive 1 day off in lieu during June-August.
  • Non-designated staff / Admin / Staff Accountants: 
    • May work Family Day or Good Friday (full day).
    • Receive 1.5 days off in lieu during June-August.

Important Notes:

    • Time off must be pre-approved via the time-off request form.
    • If working fewer than 7.25 hours, log actual hours in iFirm and use code 820 to make up the remaining statutory holiday hours.
