My name is Brendan Smatana, I am a Niagara Falls resident born and raised, with a predominantly Polish and Italian background. 

I attended Brock University from 2018 to 2025, completing in that time a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance), Bachelor of Accounting, as well as a Master of Accountancy. If it isn’t obvious, I absolutely love education, consuming knowledge, and pushing the limits of what I believe I can learn.

My working background stems primarily from customer service, specifically personal banking. Within personal banking, I have been able to accentuate my interpersonal abilities with colleagues and clients, as well as my ability to be a trustworthy figure in a client’s life. 

My main interests are in fitness and nutrition, as well as travelling. I love working through unfamiliarity, experiencing new cultures, and broadening my perspective on the world. To this point, my favourite quote is, You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

I am incredibly excited to begin my accounting career at CSS and look forward to building real and lasting relationships with my new colleagues as well as with clients and consuming as much knowledge as I possibly can.”
