💝 This year the need is greater than ever 💝
Project Share has made the difficult decision to pause the “Sponsor a Family” program because the demand for food increased at an alarming 20% this past year. Families in our communities are struggling to put even the basics on the table, and are now serving approximately 1 in 7 residents of our city and our per capita food bank usuage is one of the HIGHEST in our province!
Their Holiday Meal Program kindly asks that generous donors and community members extend support through the donation of grocery gift cards. Last year, with the support of our community, they helped 6,520 people, making the season a little brighter for families struggling with food insecurity in Niagara Falls.
For this reason, instead of sponsoring a family, this year CSS will be collecting monetary donations of any amount or grocery store gift cards at a $25 denomination.
