Project Plaid Niagara

💗 Project Plaid: Every thread tells a story 💗

On Friday, November 28th the Niagara  community will be wearing plaid and CSS is inviting you to wear your favourite plaid this Friday.

What is Project Plaid?

Project plaid was founded in memory of Amelia Durocher, an 18-year-old whose vibrant personality and unmistakable plaid style inspired a movement after her life ended far too soon.

The campaign is now deeply rooted in the Niagara community, raising awareness and critical funds for Pathstone Mental Health’s youth walk-in clinics.

Why it Matters?

  • Mental health crises don’t wait and neither should care. Pathstone’s walk-in clinics offer same-day access, no referral, no waitlist, and confidential support.
  • Each donation has a huge impact. Just $50 can fund one youth’s first walk-in session, and these clinics are 100% donor-funded.
  • 1 in 5 children and youth in Ontario have a mental health challenge.
  • 11 years old is the average age of youth seeking help from Pathstone.
  • 18,000 children and youth in Niagara have a mental health disorder.
