Phone System Modernization Update

Over the coming weeks, we will begin transitioning our current Mitel and MiCollab phone system to RingCentral, a more advanced soft-phone and desk-phone solution. This upgrade is part of our broader commitment to improving communication tools across all offices.

What's Changing?

  • New Desk Phones

While RingCentral offers a full soft-phone experience on computers and mobile devices, physical desk phones will still be available for those who prefer them. All existing desk phones will be replaced with new, compatible units.

  • Enhanced Reception Setups

Each reception area will receive a full-function reception-style phone to better support call handling and front-desk operations.

  • Extension Updates

As part of the transition, some extensions will be updated or reassigned. Details will be shared as the implementation progresses.

  • Service Provider

We will be continuing with AllStream/Zayo as our carrier, but the underlying service will move to a newer, more advanced digital platform to support improved call quality and reliability.

  • MiCollab will be retired

As part of the transition, MiColab will be retired and replaced with MS Teams. MicroTech will be reaching out to anyone who doesn’t have MS Teams uploaded to your system.

  • Next Steps

Implementation will take place over the next few weeks. We will provide regular updates, instructions, and support resources as we move through each stage of the rollout.
